Refurbished equipment keeps costs low

Using refurbished equipment is one of the best lower cost ways of achieving efficiency. Especially when you need to keep investment costs at sensible levels.

It’s not that easy to make an exact like-for-like comparison but we recently sourced a 2016-model Lenovo X1 Laptop for £471 which sold for £1274 new in 2016, and the current equivalent 2017-model would cost now £1149.

With some IT spends, you can compare it with buying a car. You can buy new or the previous model one year-old. With the year-old it might be slightly worn but considerably cheaper, but will still get you from A to B in virtually the same time and comfort. The brand new one has slightly more advanced gizmos but it’s value drops as soon as it leaves the forecourt.

Not always tempted with the shiny and new, we will always look at what can be refurbished in-house first and then we will look to see what’s on the refurbished equipment market.

This is particularly if you are in a business or role where IT looks are less important. Equipment can be sourced at significantly lower costs make them more affordable in these Brexit times.

We will happily give you an opinion about your current set up. Or even your proposed future set up before you start spending money.

I’d love to talk to you.
